…which has only gone and let orks into the house! *

Most of this stack? SOLD!

Having had a good Hobby Cleansing, there’s quite a bit more space in the FM dining room! The photo above was taken in the dining room several weeks ago when the clear-out started, one can actually walk around the table now! There’s also a tiny bit more space in the hobby loft (which is where video work and sometimes a bit of hobby happens).

All these models? Gone!

Facebook selling groups and eBay have helped to clear out a good amount of unused and unloved (or not loved enough to keep them around…or loved so much that I’m letting them go to new owners…pick your reason!) models, games and accessories from such disparate universes such as:

  • World War 2
  • Warmachine (Cryx)
  • Dark Eldar (boo-hoo, goodbye super retro models!)
  • Eldar
  • Tyranids
  • Chaos marines
  • old style City Fight terrain
  • and much more, plus board games of all sizes and types!

Oh, there’s still plenty left

There’s still quite a lot more to sell off, but the bulk of the wargaming stuff has gone, freeing up many RUBs (Really Useful Boxes), KR cases and foam trays for Alpha Legion and other forces to take up residence. A step up from the shoe boxes and GW kit boxes where they’ve been slumming it up to now !

Dark Eldar, Eldar, Harlies…many pointy-eared space kin were sold to bring you this information…

I’m still keeping elements of most of the 40K armies listed above, too – everything is just very trimmed down quite a lot now. I have a Brood Lord and Genestealers to go with the Genestealer Cult models I’ve kept. The hundred or so ‘gaunts and ‘gants are gone, along with the big Nids that led them around. I still have enough Dark Eldar to be dangerous, with several Venoms, 3 Raiders, characters, Incubi and enough Kabalites/Trueborn to cause some damage. For the Eldar, I’m keeping the superheavy hover tanks (they are the coolest!) and a Wraightknight or two, but will rebuild the number of various aspect warriors I have at some point. My original red and yellow Chaos marine warband is still in the display case, but many of the unpainted/unbuilt Chaos models are now gone, and I’m unsure what to do yet with the sizeable Death Guard army I’ve got. Because the Nurgle demons cross over to my Nurgle Age of Sigmar army fairly easily, I’ll keep a good number of the DG , but as with the Eldar, no lists have been written up yet to determine exactly what I’ll keep and what I’ll let go.

And lots more to sell

The intention exists to also sell off a healthy amount of other stuff taking up space, including:

  • more boardgames that haven’t been touched, like Zombicide expansions, Star Wars Armada and other large boxes taking up shelf space in the dining room (anyone interested?!)
  • RC (radio-control) car stuff, as well, since (many!) years of collecting those has left me with plenty of RC gear…some of which has been sold already
  • Camping/trekking gear, since it’s been years since I’ve done anything more strenuous than hiking, and how many good tents and backpacks do I really need, anyway?
  • Books which survived a previous give-away-to-charity purge, but are still as-yet-unread and not-really-wanting-to-let-go-but-really-come-now-British-homes-are-just-too-small-for-huge-collections-of-heavy-books
  • a box of computer equipment that was already slightly outdated when I bought it years ago (quick check of Gmail to see when I purchased this TV tuner card: yep, ten and a half years ago! never plugged it in)
  • big travel case of computer, audio and video cables that I packed away years ago and have never opened? yeah…to the skip with you!
All of the Nidzilla threats are gone as well

Considering that I am truly the Ultimate Packrat (the modern parlance being ‘hoarder’), I’m very much overdue for a major cleansing – if only so I can properly organize what I’ve got! Updates to follow…

(Meanwhile, does anyone want some homebrewing equipment and about 80 glass pint bottles?)
